Earthworks Reporting

Our Focus

Earthworks Reporting recommendations to AS3798

Providing information on the physical and mechanical properties of soil and rock that support a construction project.

At Hunter Civilab, we can provide earthworks reporting recommendations in accordance with AS3798. This standard sets out guidelines for the investigation, design, construction and quality control of earthworks to ensure they meet the necessary requirements for a construction project.

Our services include:

  • Investigation and testing of soil and rock properties through sampling, laboratory testing, and in-situ testing
  • Design and construction recommendations, including the selection of materials and construction methods, site and stockpile management, control of water and erosion during construction
  • Reporting of earthworks results, including scope of investigation, test results, design and construction methods, and any recommendations for further work or monitoring
  • Signing and dating of the earthworks report by the responsible person

Our team of experienced geotechnical engineers can provide you with accurate and reliable earthworks reporting recommendations to ensure the success of your construction project.

Specialist Capability

Plate Load Test

Hunter Civilab’s Plate Load Test can quickly and easily determine the bearing capacity of soils and deflection of soils.

The test is performed by systematically applying 6-8 equal load steps to the static plate, and calculating the pressure settling lines and deflection modules of the first load (Ev1), and the second load (Ev2) – ultimately represented in NM/m2.

The test is performed in-situ, gives instant results, and has the added benefit of being non-destructive – with no drilling or sampling. Our Plate Load Tests are performed in accordance with DIN 18134:2012-04.
